Hardship Committee for Portus Investors

On April 27th, 2005 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice approved the establishment of a Hardship Committee for Portus Investors.

The Court has authorized the Hardship Committee to consider hardship submissions. Please refer to the Terms of Reference posted below for the criteria used to evaluate submissions. If you feel that your request meets the outlined criteria for a hardship consideration please complete a Supplementary Information Sheet for Hardship Cases Appendix A and return the completed form to the following address:

The Hardship Committee will review all submissions and will contact you within 30 days of receiving your submission. If the Hardship Committee concludes that your submission meets the criteria, you will receive confirmation in the form of a letter available in Appendix B. Once you have received confirmation that you will be receiving a hardship payment, you will need to complete a statutory declaration available in Appendix C. If the Hardship Committee concludes that your submission does not meet the criteria, you will receive a letter in the form available in Appendix D.
